NEW YORK, NY - DECEMBER 16: Volunteers with BNP Paribas sort coats at the annual New York Cares coat drive, on December 16, 2013 in New York City.The drive for winter jackets for those in need is in its 25th year and hoping to collect 110,000 new or gently used coats but has fallen short on donations so far this year. According to Gary Bagley, executive director of New York Cares, donations are down by 35 percent so far this year.Once collected and sorted, the coats are delivered to area schools, hospitals, homeless shelters and other locations for distribution to those in need. People wishing to donate coats and jackets can go to the New York Cares website to locate one of hundreds of drop off points.
