(FILES) -- A file picture taken on September 20, 2002 shows some 250 people gathering at the memorial of Bordeaux's synagogue, called by families of World War II deportation victims following the release from prison on September 18, 2002 of Maurice Papon, convicted of taking part Bordeaux's most important rounding up of jews to be deported in 1944. Bordeaux will commemorate on January 12, 2014 the 70th anniversary of the roundup of January 10, 1944, which saw 300 jews being arrested and deported to Nazi extermination camps, in an atmospere weighed down by the controversy surrounding French humorist Dieudonne M'bala M'bala, repeatedly convicted of antisemitism and due to perform in Bordeaux at the end of the month.
