BENIN-CENTRAFRICA-UNREST-DJOTODIA
Former Central African Republic president Michel Djotodia is seen on the back seat of a car upon his arrival in Cotonou on January 11, 2014 after resigning under pressure for his failure to tackle bloody religious violence in his homeland. Djotodia and his prime minister Nicolas Tiangaye resigned on Friday at an extraordinary meeting of central African countries in N'Djamena. Benin's Foreign Minister, Nassirou Bako Arifari said Benin's government had accepted a request from member states of the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS) for Djotodia to fly to Benin.
