Argentinean poet Juan Gelman (R) kisses his granddaughter Macarena Gelman after the reading by Uruguayan President Jose Mujica of a statement in which Uruguayan State takes responsability over the political crime against Maria Claudia Garcia de Gelman, killed during the dictatorship (1973-1985) and the birth in captivity of her daughter Macarena, at the Congress in Montevideo on March 21, 2012. Argentine poet Juan Gelman, winner of the Spanish speaking world's top literature prize and a vehement critic of military rule in his country, died on January 14, 2013 in Mexico City at the age of 83.
