FRANCE-SOCIAL-TELECOM-ALCATEL-LUCENT
A man holds a board as some 250 employees of French-US telecommunications equipment manufacturer Alcatel Lucent Orvault's plant, demonstrate on 15 January, 2013 in the nearby western city of Nantes to save jobs. As the October 2013 restructuring plan involved 900 job cuts, the management announced on January 15, that only 700 are concerned in France. The company announced last October 10,000 job cuts worldwide over 72,000 employees to reduce fixed costs by 15 percent in two years.
