The presidential candidate of Costa Rica's Libertarian Movement party, Otto Guevara, offers a press conference in San Jose, on January 16, 2014. According to the latest poll published in the local media, the candidadte of the leftist Board Front party, Jose Maria Villalta, leads the race to the presidency with 22, 2 percent of the vote, with his closest contenders Johnny Araya, of the ruling National Liberation Part, and Guevara only 2 percentage points behind -- a virtual technical three-way tie.
