BURKINA-POLITICS-OPPOSITION
Protesters hold a banner reading "Youth movement for the support of resigned CDP comrades (CDP - Burkina Faso's ruling party), No to the Senate, No to the revision of article 37, No to Blaise's empire" as they join some 10.000 people, according to police, to take part in a protest on Nation Square in Ouagadougou on January 18, 2014 against a modification of Burkina Faso's constitution which would allow the country's president Blaise Compaore to present himself in 2015 for a third five year mandate. A day of national protests called by Burkina Faso's opposition leader Zephirin Diabre against the constitutional modification plan took place in other big cities in the country.
