NORWAY-FIRE-UNESCO-PATRIMONY
This picture taken with a mobile phone in the early hours of January 19, 2014 shows a fire raging in the heritage village Laerdal, southern Norway, threatening its unique wooden buildings. According to the loal police the fire began overnight in a house in in Laerdalsoyri, a village of 1,150 people in Laerdal, on Sognefjord fjord. More than 50 people were admitted to the hospital but no deaths were reported. At least three buidlings classified UNESCO patrimony were destroyed by the fire.
