A file photo taken on December 2, 2005 shows Christodoulos Xiros sentenced member of the Greek Revolutionary Organization 17 November (N17), waiting in the courtroom at the start of the appeals trial of group members at the special court in a top-security Athens jail. Christodoulos Xiros, a leading hitman for November 17, disappeared on January 7 while on a nine-day prison leave. In his tract, which was posted on anti-establishment site Indymedia and released on January 20, Xiros accused the government of bringing Greek society to the point of collapse, pointing to the austerity cuts adopted over the past four years.
