NETHERLANDS-TELECOM-BUSINESS-LAYOFFS-EARNINGS-KPN

The Executive Vice President of KPN Steven van Schilfgaarde (L) and the CEO Eelco Blok give a press conference in The Hague on February 4, 2014. Dutch telecoms operator KPN fell into a net loss in 2013 owing to the cost of disposing of German unit E-Plus, and announced big job cuts on Tuesday. The group said that it would shed 1,500-2,000 jobs in the Netherlands by 2016, but said it hoped to resume paying a dividend this year.
