French telecommunications equipment maker Alcatel-Lucent Managing Director Michel Combes arrives to give a press conference to present the company's 2013 results in Paris on February 6, 2014. Alcatel-Lucent, a leading global supplier of telecom equipment for the Internet, said on February 6 that it had slashed its net losses by a third last year, sending its shares by nearly nine percent.
