Fuel-efficient vehicles designed by students take pole positions prior to the flag off ceremony of the smarter mobility competition, Shell eco-marathon (SEM) in Manila on February 7, 2014. Around 109 student teams from 15 countries including Asia and Middle East are competing, which challenges, aspiring engineers to build vehicles of the future that can go farthest on the least amount of energy.
