(FILES) File photo dated May 18, 1976 shows French President Valery Giscard d'Estaing (L) and US President Gerald Ford during an official reception at the French embassy of the United States in Washington. D'Estaing flew to the United States aboard the Concorde for a six-day official visit. Upon arrival at the White House during the official welcoming ceremony , he said "and now if you allow me, I will be my own interpreter." The current French President François Hollande arrives in the United States for a state visit February 10, 2014. He'll visit Monticello, Virginia, Washington, DC and San Francisco, California in three days. Hollande follows in the tracks of his predecessors Charles De Gaulle (April 1960), Georges Pompidou (February 1970), Valery Giscard d'Estaing (May 1976), Francois Mitterrand (March 1984), Jacques Chirac (January 1996), and Nicolas Sarkozy (November 2007).
