CYPRUS-UN-TALKS-SETTLEMENT
Special Representative of the Secretary General in Cyprus, Lisa Buttenheim (L), awaits the arrival of Turkish Cypriot leader Dervis Eroglu and Cypriot President Anastasiades for a meeting at the now defunct Nicosia international airport in the United Nations Buffer Zone that separates the internationally recognised southern part of the island from the Turkish-occupied north of Cyprus. Anastasiades and his Turkish Cypriot counterpart pledged to work towards clinching agreement on ending the island's division "as soon as possible", a joint statement said.
