This picture released by the World Press on February 14, 2014 and taken by German photographer Julius Schrank for Dutch magazine De Volkskrant was selected by the international jury of the 57th annual World Press Photo Contest as the first prize in daily life single category. The picture shows the Kachin Independence Army fighters drinking and celebrating at a funeral of one of their commanders who died the day before, on March 15, 2013, in a city under the siege of the Burmese army.
