HONDURAS-HEALTH-DENGUE
A worker of the Health Ministry fumigates against Aedes aegypti mosquito after Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernandez launched the national campaign against dengue fever, at the Kennedy community in eastern Tegucigalpa, on February 17, 2014. Dengue fever killed at least 27 people and infected more than 30,000 last year in Honduras. Dengue, transmitted by the Aedes aegypti mosquito, occurs in Central America mostly during its rainy season from May to November. The disease causes fever, muscle and joint ache as well as potentially fatal dengue hemorrhagic fever and dengue shock syndrome. AFP PHOTO/Orlando SIERRA
