Danish minister for Economy Margrethe Vestager (L) speaks with Swedish Finance Minister Anders Borg (C) and Spainish Finance Minister Luis De Guindos Jurado prior to an Economic and Financial Affairs Council on February 18, 2014, at the European Union headquarters in Brussels. The Council will take stock of negotiations with the European Parliament on a single resolution mechanism for banks. It will also be updated by the European Central Bank on implementation of the single supervisory mechanism.
