Several thousand employees of La Redoute mail-order company stage a protest against the planned lay-off of 1,200 workers on March 4, 2014 in Roubaix, northern France. La Redoute, founded in 1873 and bought by PPR in 1994, remains a French mail order leader with about a billion euros in annual sales and 10 million clients, but the company has been bleeding cash for years.
