It was announced on March 6, 2014 that the Legoland theme park will be closed over the weekend after threats were made on social media over its hosting of a fun day organised by the Muslim Research and Development Foundation. Officials from the Windsor attraction agreed with police that Sunday's event should be cancelled and the park closed after far-right posters left abusive messages and threats on its Facebook page.
