PAKISTAN-SOCIETY-WOMEN
In this photograph taken on March 5, 2014, Pakistani female labourer Mukhtara Bibi makes bricks at a factory on the outskirts of Lahore, ahead of International Women's Day. Thirty-five year old mother of four Bibi,is the sole bread winner of her family and earns 700 Pakistani rupee (6.8 USD) for making 1000 bricks weekly. Women have limited opportunities in Pakistan's highly traditional, patriarchal society. The United Nations says only 40 percent of adult women are literate, and they are frequently the victims of violence and abuse. International Women's Day falls on March 8. AFP PHOTO/Arif ALI
