Spanish interior minister Jorge Fernandez Diaz (C) and members of the March-11 Terrorism Victims Association present medals during an award ceremony for 365 victims of the Madrid train bombings at the Theatro Real in Madrid on March 10, 2014 marking the eve of the 10th year anniversary of the attacks that claimed 191 lives and injured more than 1900 others. On March 11, 2004 at 7:40 am, 10 bombs exploded on board four packed commuter trains in Madrid in an attack claimed by the Al-Qaeda terror network, which said they were punishment for Spain's role in the US-led invasion of Iraq.
