Pakistani judges hearing treason charges against Pervez Musharraf on March 11, adjourned his formal indictment to the end of the week after lawyers for the ex-military ruler said his life was in danger. Musharraf, who ruled from 1999 to 2008, became the first former army chief to come before court on treason charges last month in a case that is seen as a test of civilian rule over the country's powerful army.
