SSUDAN-UNREST-TRIAL-COURT
Former SPLM (Sudan People's Liberation Movement) leaders from right to left, former amabassador Ezekiel Lol Gatkuoth, former deputy minister of defence Majak d'Agoot, former SPLM secretary-general Pagan Amum and former minister for national security Oyai Deng Ajak sit during a trial in which they are accused of 11 charges including treason on March 11, 2014, in Juba, South Sudan. The 4 men are accused by the government of allegedly attempting to topple President Salva Kiir after fighting broke out in December 2013. South Sudan's government has been at war with rebel groups since December 15, 2013 when a clash between troops loyal to Kiir and those loyal to sacked vice president Riek Machar snowballed into full-scale fighting across the world's newest nation. Thousands of people have been killed in the conflict. AFP PHOTO /ANDREI PUNGOVSCHI.
