For its 20th edition, the the 'Best baguette of Paris' contest was won on March 13, 2014 by Teixeira, 16 years after his father. To compete, baguettes must measure between 55 and 65 cm, weighing between 250 and 300 grams and having a salt content of a level of 18 grams per kilo of flour. They are then judged by a 15-members jury according to criteria of cooking, taste, bread, smell and appearance.
