PALESTINIAN-ISRAEL-CONFLICT
A new cement block (C) is lowered into place as repair work on the Israeli controversial separation barrier takes place after Palestinian protesters opened a hole two days ago, at the Aida Palestinian refugee camp near the West Bank town of Bethlehem, on March 24, 2014. The construction of the concrete barrier began in 2002 and was created by Israel to separate Palestinians in the Israeli-occupied territories of the West Bank and Gaza Strip from Israel so that they may not enter Israel without authorization and to curtail any militant activities.
