Swans swim on a side canal of the river Alster after they were released from their wintering grounds on March 25, 2014 in Hamburg, northern Germany. After spending five month on and around the Eppendorfer Muehlenteich, a small pond that is kept ice-free for the swans during winter-time, around 120 animals were brought back to their usual territory in the Hanseatic city's centre.
