GERMANY-ART-BODIES
(FILES) - This picture taken 15 December 2003 in Hamburg shows the preserved Gorilla "Arti" at the roadshow "Body Worlds" of German anatomist Gunther von Hagens. Arti has been removed -- at least temporarily -- after the German federal office for nature protection said exhibiting animals was only permissible for scientific and educational purposes, and the exhibition did not fit the bill. The excentric anatomist who displays human corpses as art has said on 26 May 2004 he was applying for an emergency court ruling that would allow him to return the gorilla to the macabre show. Despite all the controversy over Hagens- exhibition, nearly 14 million people have visited the "Body Worlds" show since it began in 1996. AFP PHOTO DDP/ROLAND MAGUNIA GERMANY OUT
