All evidence pointed to Malaysia Airlines Flight MH 370 being lost in the Indian Ocean, Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott said, backing his Malaysian counterpart's view that the plane had crashed. The flight between Kuala Lumpur and Beijing vanished on March 8 and more than three weeks later no debris has been found of the aircraft which was carrying 239 passengers and crew.
