Laurie Grant waits for her New York City Department of Correction escort to be taken to Hart Island March 28, 2014 in New York. Grant has waited years to visit the place where her still born baby was buried 18 years ago on Hart Island. Hart Island, in New York, is the largest cemetery in the US. One million bodies of still born babies, the poor, the unidentified and the unclaimed are buried in common graves. It is run by the department of corrections, and access is nearly impossible.
