FRANCE-EU-SOCIAL-DEMO
(From 4th L) French member of the European Parliament Liem Hoang Ngoc, Co-President of the French Left Front party (PG) Jean-Luc Melenchon, Greece's Syriza main opposition (radical leftist) party leader Alexis Tsipras, French Communist Party National Secretary Pierre Laurent and Member of Parliament Marie-George Buffet (R) take part to a demonstration against austerity on April 12, 2014 in Paris. The protest march against the government's austerity measures, initiated by the PG party and the French far left NPA (Nouveau Parti Anticapitaliste) party , gathered unions representatives, associations, players of the cultural sector and leftist elected representatives, as Tsipras, one of the main candidates for the presidency of the European Parliament, took part to a meeting of the Front de Gauche (PG and PC, French communist party) on April 11, 2014.
