UN war crimes chief prosecutor Carla Del Ponte speaks with Bosnian Serb leader Dragan Cavic 31 May 2004 in Banja Luka. Chief UN war crimes prosecutor Carla Del Ponte told Bosnian Serb leaders today that she wanted concrete results in bringing fugitive war crimes suspects to justice. "I am expecting results because cooperation with RS was in the past years so difficult that we even identify Republika Srpska (RS) as a safe haven for fugitives," she told journalists after meeting Bosnian Serb leaders. Del Ponte said she was pleased to be informed by President Dragan Cavic, Prime Minister Dragan Mikerevic and other Bosnian Serb officials "that political will is now fully existent to cooperate" with the UN.
