The iconic New York restaurant in Central Park has been closed since 2009 when the previous operators lost their lease and declared bankruptcy. The restaurant reopens under new management. with a new look and with Katy Sparks as the chef. Tavern on the Green opened as a restaurant in 1934 and while never renown for its cuisine, it attracted movie stars, musicians and mobsters as regular guests.
