French photographer Edouard Elias (L), who was taken hostage north of the main northern Syrian city of Aleppo on June 6, 2013, is welcomed by the city mayor Yvon Bonzi (Cm with tie) upon his return to his native village of Saint Quentin La Poterie, southern France, where residents welcomed him. Elias is one of the our French journalists taken hostage in Syria who were reunited with family and colleagues on April 20, 2014 in an emotional homecoming after 10 months in captivity during which they were chained together and held in dingy basements.
