AFGHANISTAN-CRIME-KIDNAPPING
TO GO WITH AFGHANISTAN-CRIME
This picture taken 31 May 2004 shows Afghan woman Haqila holding a picture of her children featuring her missing ten-year-old son Jawad in the centre of the picture, at her home in Kabul. Haqila and her husband, cobbler Abdul Razaq are among the dozens of Afghan couples whose children have gone missing in recent months amid concerns that child trafficking and kidnappings have increased in the impoverished country. Jawad-s distraught parents have placed an advertisement asking for information on their son on Kabul television, a free service now increasingly used by worried citizens whose relatives have gone missing.
