COLOMBIA-MINE-ACCIDENT
Colombian miners search for gold near a gold mine that collapsed in San Antonio, rural area of Santander de Quilichao, department of Cauca, Colombia, on May 3, 2014, where independent mine workers were excavating the mine without authorization. According to official data from Colombia, mining licenses contributes 2.3% of GDP to 80% of the mines are illegal, do not pay taxes and do not offer insurance to workers or undergo environmental laws.
