FRANCE-SAILING-NAVY-HISTORY-WWII
The "Mutin" French navy sail boat navigates in the Garonne river as it arrives in Bordeaux for a few days, on May 5, 2014. The sail boat was initially launched on March 13, 1927, in Sables d'Olonne, and became part of French and British spying and resistence operations during the Second World War by passing as a tuna fishing boat. The boat was used for infiltrating and extracting British secret agents, pilots and members of the French resistance. The boat is today used as a training ground for young Navy recruits.
