HONDURAS-US-DRUGS-JUSTICE-EXTRADITION-NEGRO-LOBO

Lawyer Raul Suazo, defender of alleged Honduran drug lord Carlos Arnoldo Lobo, also known as "Negro Lobo", arrives to an Infantry Battalion to meet with his client in Tegucigalpa, on May 8, 2014. Lobo, linked to Mexican Sinaloa drug cartel, will be extradited to the US, where he is wanted for drug trafficking. The defense had presented an appeal of annulment to prevent the extradition of Lobo, but it was declared out of place by the Supreme Court of Justice. "Negro Lobo", or black wolf, was picked up in the city of San Pedro Sula, some 240 km north of the capital Tegucigalpa in March. Last May prosecutors seized bank accounts and property owned by Lobo and worth an estimated 2.7 million dollars. Central America is a key transit point for cocaine being shipped from South America to the United States. AFP PHOTO/Orlando SIERRA
