A mine clearance expert of the civil safety carries unexploded ordnance dating from World War I and found on the battlefield of the Vieil-Armand, formely called Hartmannswillerkopf, on April 9, 2014, in Hartmannswiller, at the foot of the Vosges mountain range in northeastern France. A hundred years after the beginning of the First World War, unexploded ordnance still lies underneath Alsace's grounds.
