DRCONGO-CONGO-IMMIGRATION-LABOUR
Head of the United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Martin Kobler (L) and Congolese Minister of Genre, Family and Children, Genevieve Inagosi (C), visit the camp of the expulsed immigrants from Brazzaville, in Maluku, near Kinshasa, on May 23, 2014. A crackdown on illegal immigrants in the Republic of the Congo has driven around 40,000 people from the neighbouring Democratic Republic of Congo back across the river border in a month. According to the Red Cross, 5758 have registered at the camp since May 13, 2014. The Congolese government vowed to help the immigrants get back with their family outside of the capital, but no solution have been put in place for the ones without a place or relatives to go to.
