TO GO WITH AFP STORY BY ANNA MALPAS
A handout undated still photo provided by Ruslan Kokanayev shows a scene from "Ordered to Forget", a movie about the mass deportations of Chechen nation and the related Ingush group on Stalin's orders during World War II which depicts "the Khaibakh massacre" in which 700 people were reportedly burnt to death by the NKVD security forces in the Chechen mountain village of Khaibakh in 1944. Russia has refused to permit the release of "Ordered to Forget," calling it anti-Russian and a falsification of history. Kommersant daily quoted an advisor to Culture Minister as saying the ministry had not taken a final decision on the film and would carry out a further expert assessment. The film's scriptwriter and producer, Ruslan Kokanayev said the film's makers have submitted it to a number of film festivals both in Russia and abroad, including the Moscow International Film Festival and the Venice Film Festival.
