South Sudanese General Dau Aturjong Nyuol, one of the founding members of the Sudan's People Liberation Army (SPLA), the government army, speaks during a press conference in the Kenyan capital Nairobi, as he announces his defection to the rebel side led by former South Sudan vice-President Dr. Riek Machar. Nyuol declared his defection from the Salva Kiir led government as South Sudan's rebel leader Riek Machar held talks with Kenya's leader in the Kenyan capital, briefing President Uhuru Kenyatta on the latest moves to end the si-month old civil war conflict in South Sudan where more than a million people have fled their homes since fighting erupted in December.
