ALBANIA-RELIGION-ORTHODOX-CATHEDRAL
Orthodox priests take part in the holy ceremony of the Consecration of the new “Resurrection of Christ” Cathedral in Tirana, on June 1, 2014. The new cathedral, replaces the old church destroyed to build a hotel by the former Communist regime which imposed atheism during 1967-1990, a period during which all but a few monumental churches or mosques were destroyed or turned into store-houses, blacksmith foundries, military barracks, and entertainment places.
