ALBANIA-EU-POLITICS-FULE
European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighborhood Policy Stefan Fule (L) and Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama (R) leave after their meeting in Tirana on June 4, 2014. The EU's executive on June 4 urged the bloc's leaders to approve Albania as an official candidate for membership at a summit in Brussels at the end of the month. The European Commission said Albania had made sufficient progress in fighting corruption and organised crime to win a green light to line up with the other nations knocking at the door of the 28-member club.
