Melanie Griffith has filed for divorce from fellow Hollywood A-lister Antonio Banderas, the TMZ celebrity news website reported June 6, 2014. Griffith cited irreconcilable differences in seeking to end the Tinseltown power couple's 18-year marriage, TMZ reported, citing legal documents. A spokesman for the Spanish and US actors did not immediately respond to requests for comment or confirmation. TMZ cited a source close to the couple as saying the divorce was amicable. Golden Globe-nominated Banderas, 53, is known in the United States for movies including the "Shrek" franchise and 1998's "The Mask of Zorro." He also featured in several Pedro Almodovar movies.
