COLOMBIA-VIOLENCE-CEREMONY
Relatives of missing people hold silhouettes bearing their names at "La Escombrera", a dumping ground for construction materials, at the Commune 13 neighbourhood, during a vigil against enforced disappearances in Medellin, Antioquia department, Colombia, on June 7, 2014. In 2002, Medellin was rocked by violence after the government's decision to recapture a sector of the city disputed by right-wing paramilitaries and militias. According to relatives of the victims, in the operation ordered on October 16, 2002 by President Alvaro Uribe, dozens of people were killed, more than 100 people were injured, 98 people went missing, and more than 200 families were displaced.
