KENYA-SENEGAL-MUSIC-MAAL
Renowned Senegalese musician Baaba Maal performs at a concert in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, on Father's day June 15, 2014. Born on November 12, 1953, Maal is one of the main ambassadors of West African music around the world today and an originator of a popular fusion that in addittion to creating a new platform for upcoming artists in Africa, also saw him featured in "1 Giant Leap", a concept band that also featured the likes of Robbie Williams and 12 other international artists. Maal, a singer and guitarist born in Podor, on the Senegal River, well known in Africa and internationally, is one of Senegal's most famous musicians after Youssou N'Dour. AFP PHOTO / Tony KARUMBA
