This screenshot made from a handout video released by hospital BGU-Murnau shows German cave explorer Johann Westhauser (C) being treated on his hospital bed in Murnau, southern Germany. Doctors treating Westhauser, who was dramatically rescued after 11 days trapped and injured deep below ground, said that he was in "excellent condition" considering his ordeal. The accident happened on June 8, 2014 1,000 metres (3,300 feet) below ground in the labyrinth-like Riesending cave complex, Germany's deepest and longest.
