Former Slovenian prime minister Janez Jansa began a two-year prison sentence over corruption on Friday, just weeks ahead of a snap vote in the country. Jansa, 55, who is also the current leader of the opposition, was sentenced last year, but was called to appear at a prison near the capital Ljubljana after the country's Constitutional Court upheld the sentence earlier this week.
