Pig heads are roasted during a festival in Balayan, Batangas province, south of Manila on June 24, 2014, to celebrate the feast of St. John the Baptist. Roasted pigs decked out as superheroes and mud-coated farmers paraded in Philippine villages on June 24 to mark some of the Catholic nation's most colourful religious festivals and several thousand revellers marched behind mini-trucks carrying roasted hogs through Balayan, with bystanders periodically dousing the raucous procession with buckets of water.
