FRANCE-MEDIA-HISTORY-ALBERT-LONDRES
TO GO WITH AFP STORY BY PABLO AIGUEL
The piano of late French journalist Albert Londres is displayed at the office of a local association dedicated to the Vichy's heritage, on June 24, 2014, some weeks ahead of the auction of the nearby Londres' birth place. A "grand reporter" and international correspondent, known also for his social investigations (prostitutes, black people, insane people, etc), Londres (1884-1932) perished at sea when the boat he was on returning from China burned for unknown reasons. Each year since 1933, the Albert Londres prize is awarded to a journalist. AFP PHOTO THIERRY ZOCCOLAN
